Vertical Mount Equalizer Tone Control Potentiometer Splined Shaft W VT18L

This is one item of new, single gang carbon track potentiometer.

These are new items and come with a nut and a washer for mounting on a front panel and a plastic dust cap on the rear. The splined shaft is 6mm diameter. The mounting hole required is 7mm diameter. The connection pins are of the longer type intended for vertical PCB mounting but will also allow soldered wire connections. The pot body is 16mm diameter and this is increased to 18.5mm by the removable dust cap.

The "W" prefix before the track resistance value denotes an unusual equaliser or tone control track taper. The centre position is mid-track resistance, and there is an anti-log C taper either side of this. On one sample with a 10.02K track, a one-quarter rotation measures 0.93K from the anti-clockwise, one half rotation measures 5.21K, and three-quarters rotation measures 9.29K from the same end. The max power rating is 0.1W. There is no click in the centre position on this part. The track tolerance is 20%. The total rotation angle is 300 degrees.

The shaft length on these pots is a total of 16mm, where the threaded part is 6mm long and the turning part is 10mm.
