This is a used radio loudspeaker recovered from a radio as shown in the pictures. It has been tested on a music source and exhibits no scratchiness or obvious distortion. Elliptical speakers are often preferred for lower-fi radio applications due to the comparative absence of nasty sounding resonances. The vintage types are often very efficient compared to a more modern unit. The fixing centers are 92 x 117mm. It was removed from a Pye R31 radio. The voice coil is a 3 Ohm type.
