MIG TIG Welder Replacement Speed Control Pot and Pointer Knob

This is one item of new linear track potentiometer with solder lug connections which comes with a suitable black knob and red pointer cap. These can be used as a replacement for the pots on welding machine wire feed speed controllers where the pot is broken or has a worn out track. The 0.25" inch 6.35mm diameter D-shaped plastic shaft is 41mm long and can easily be cut the the right length with a hacksaw. The threaded part of the shaft is 8mm long and fits into a 9.5mm diameter hole. A nut and washer are provided. Various track resistances are available and this can vary between machine. The track tolerance is 20%. The manufacturer is Ohmeg - Citec. The body diameter measures 19mm and extends 11mm behind the panel. There is an anti-rotation lug on the pot body which usually fits into a hole in the panel, though can you snap if off if needed. The track power rating is 0.4W.

The black knob is a push fit onto the plastic shaft. The knob height is 19mm and the skirt diameter is 19mm. The removable red pointer cap can be fitted at any angle after the pot is fitted so that the line points in the right direction.

Citec mark these linear track pots "LIN A." This is highly unusual in modern times, and you will normally see linear pots marked as "LIN B" or "B10K" for a 10K track pot. I currently have these in 1K and 10K track resistance versions. The track resistance marking should be visible somewhere on your pot.
