Light Dependant Resistors LDR Photoresistor CdS Cell, Light Detector Sensor

This is a pack of 1, 5, or 10 items of miniature LDR which can replace the old Mullard ORP12 in most situations. This is smaller, just 5mm diameter which makes it ideal for combining with a 5mm LED to form a fully isolated, wide range variable resistance with low voltage offset. If you really want an analogue audio compressor or fader system to have very low distortion and very low control voltage feedthrough, this can be one way to make the variable gain core, using two devices and a linearising op-amp feedback circuit if necessary. The whole unit is coated in transparent epoxy.
