B50K Switched Stereo Potentiometer 12mm Dual Pot On-Off Switch in Splined Or D Shaft

This is one item of new, dual gang, 50K linear taper, 12mm body diameter carbon track potentiometer with a SPST on-off switch on the back. These are new items and come with a nut and a washer for mounting on a front panel.

Two varieties are available:

D-Shaft 18mm:

The D-shaped shaft type has a metric 6.0mm diameter and is 4.4mm from the flat to the opposite arc. The threaded part length is 7mm and the rotating part of the shaft is 18mm long. The anti-clockwise OFF position occurs when the flat is pointing north-east.
The flat on the shaft points away from the pot wiper. This is the normal modern standard.

Splined 13mm:

The splined shaft type is 6mm diameter and is the standard type, sometimes referred to as a T18. The threaded part is 7mm long and the turning part is 13mm.

The mounting hole required is 7mm diameter. The connection pins will allow either PCB mounting or soldered wire connections. The "B" prefix before the track resistance value denotes a linear track taper. The maximum potentiometer power rating is 0.1W per section. The switch is rated 1Amp at 12V. The switch closes ON when the shaft is rotated clockwise beyond the fully anti-clockwise position.

The spacing between the three pins left to right is 3.5mm and the spacing between the gangs is 5mm.

If you have a pot with a track label of B503, this is a B50K where 3 is the number of zeros after 50 in Ohms. A 502 would be 5K, a 472 would be 4K7 etc. Sometimes pots may also be marked with the B as a suffix e.g. 50KB.
