This is one item of new AAA battery holder with wire connections and an on-off switch, available in three size variations from two to four cells. These are suitable for low to medium current applications up to 0.5A. The connection wires are 15cm long. In the pictures for the 4 AAA holder I show five 6V white LEDs wired with resistors being driven. (LEDs and terminal block not included) In this application, typical alkaline batteries will last for over 12 hours, or 24 hours if you use flashing LEDs, perhaps for a fancy dress costume or similar. You can get the LEDs on another listing in my shop.
The lids are a slide-on snap fit, and the 3 and 4 cell holders come with a small screw which can be used to secure the lid. The screws are a cross head type, but you can use a small 2mm flat blade screwdriver to fit them without trouble.

The switch baton extends approximately 2mm from the surface.
You must avoid shorting the wires together when there are any batteries installed, as the high current from alkaline or especially rechargeable nickel cells will damage the holder.
