This is one item of used 60mA full scale deflection milliammeter. The needle zeroes correctly using the adjustment screw at the rear. I have tested it for full-scale reading at 60mA as shown in the video recording, with the shunt resistor network shown in the pictures soldered to the terminals. The total shunt resistance is less than one Ohm. The actual item is shown. The total width is 75mm and the height is 34mm. The panel cut-out required is approximately 68mm by 31mm, and a mounting spring clip is provided. This instrument is dated on the scale as 1962.
I call these "side-winking" meters, and I really like them for clarity of read-out, and compact use of front panel space. You can just imagine Jack Godell giving his stuck pen trace a tap before his chum reads the true level off of one of these meters in, "The China Syndrome."
