Rocker Switch Mains Power Neon Illuminated DPST 250V 6 Amp

This is one item of new DPST mains rocker switch currently available in red, yellow, green, and blue.

The outer dimensions are 25 X 32 X 36 mm deep. The body dimensions defining the rectangular hole cut-out required are 22 X 29mm. The terminals are 6.3 X 0.8mm spade connections which you can also use as solder connections.

The switch rating is 16A at 250 VAC resistive load, 6A reactive load. They are shown illuminated in the secondary pictures and there is also a basic mechanical diagram. The blue and green types use a cold cathode fluorescent type neon. The styling is pleasantly sharp and angular.

16 Amps is the headline rating for a purely resistive load. For devices with large inrush currents, inductive loads like motors, or which have input capacitors that remain charged when disconnected (like most computer PSUs) the 6A rating may be a more useful number.

The neon is connected to the centre pins.
