High Grade Silver Mica Soviet Military Radio Capacitors for Transmitter Filters and Audio
This is one item of good quality, unused, Soviet era silver-mica capacitor originally sourced from Lithuania, suitable for radio transmitter filters and other uses which demand a silver mica type. Some of these may be supplied in a different colour of resin dip from the orange-brown kind shown in the pictures. They are functionally identical and have the same basic parameters as listed. There are some exceptionally high values available here, handy for Top Band and 80m impedance matching Chebyshev harmonic output filters.
Some people will swear by the low disortion audio properties of silver-mica capacitors and will insist on them in their guitar tone controls, effects pedals, and hi-fi valve amplifiers. If you're one of those, and why not, then you're on the right page. The higher values available here could even replace wax-paper and other horrible grid bias capacitors in your tube amp where the excessive price of high capacitance silver-mica bought elsewhere would make that impractical.
Have a look at the prices for the higher values of silver-mica cpacitors in the standard catalogues. Your eyes may pop-out on stalks at £12 for one (1) single 10,000pF silver-mica capacitor.
