Elliptical Speaker 4 by 6 Inch 102 by 152mm 9 Ohm Voice Coil Oval from Murphy B842

This is a used radio loudspeaker recovered from a 1970s radio as shown in the pictures.  It has been tested on a music source and exhibits no scratchiness or obvious distortion. The voice coil impedance is 8 Ohms. The fixing centres are  88mm x 111mm with 5mm slots. The overall size of the speaker is 102 x 152mm.  The donor radio was a Murphy B.842.  Elliptical speakers are often preferred for lower-fi radio applications due to the comparative absence of nasty sounding resonances.
