Bulgin Plug 3 Pin Line Socket Power Connector Mains Cable Inlet Hard Case

Please read the following information: This is not, repeat, NOT suitable for the old style classic guitar amps and the old style of Quad ESL57 speaker mains inlets:) These are too small.

This is one item of new, cable mounted line socket made by Bulgin. It fits into the same size panel connectors as often seen on the Weller TCP soldering iron stations, but it is the hardier version with a cable clamp strain relief. You may have an old lab instrument which needs one of these. It is accurately described as a line socket though you might think of it as being more of a plug. The rating is 250V a.c. 3A. The diameter of the mating pins is 2mm. The diameter of the circular mating part is 14mm.

These may fit some old lab equipment mains inlets, but they are too small for classic guitar amps and the old style of Quad ESL57 speakers.

Very rarely I might find an occasional used bakelite item of the bigger version of this with either the round polarising notch or the raised rectangular tang in good condition, in plug or socket format. If so, it will be in the Vintage Vauilt section.
