The ferrite bar measures 55 x 12.7 x 4.8mm and is standard MW radio grade. The main coil is 106 turns and measures 525uH at 1.6MHz when fitted with the rod, 65uH when the rod is removed. This gives some measure of the relative permeability of the ferrite for the experts. The coil former also has a 10 turn output coupling coil which you could alternatively use as an antenna input coupling coil if using in a crystal set. The main coil D.C. resistance is 6.1 Ohms. The output coupling coil D.C. resistance is about 1 Ohm.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe wires are quite fine and need some care when handling. I would only recommend soldering when making the connections.
