Nominal current at 12V is 20mA when lit, and this averages out at 10mA due to the 50:50 flashing duty cycle. The lit pictures are taken using a 12V battery pack comprising eight AA cells. One LED will run for about 260 hours on Duracell or similar good quality AA alkaline cells. Ten LEDs will run for more than forty hours on such a battery pack. The flashing rate is between once and twice per second. When used in a group the flashing is not synchronized.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOperation down at 6V is still possible on all colors with reduced brightness and approximately 50% current consumption.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe yellow color is not quite as bright as the others due to a peculiarity of the physics involved in the silicon LED process.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe batteries and pack shown for demonstration purposes in the video are not included.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIf using a power supply it needs to be a regulated type.
