The oscillator coil is intended to tune from 990 to 2070 kHz using a 65pF variable capacitor for reception frequencies of 525 to 1605 kHz in transistor super-heterodyne receivers. Internal resonant capacitors are present in the IFTs. The centre pin on the IFT primaries is usually connected to +V supply, with the longer tank winding being left open circuit and the shorter winding being connected to the transistor collector. You can identify the tank and collector pins by checking the D.C. resistance readings in the sketch diagram in the pictures, where the longer tank winding has the higher resistance. As is usually the case, the pins are not on a 0.1\" pitch. The screening can tabs are 1.6mm wide. The can outer dimensions are 10 x 10 x 12.5mm.
